D-D Jumpguard covers are a very lightweight, sleek, low visual impact and easy to construct screen cover suitable for most aquarium types, specifically designed to prevent fish loss due to jumping whilst maintaining high light penetration.

Notes:

  • The maximum size frame that can be made from each kit will be 3.6cm longer than stated in each direction.
  • The tank should be measured from inside face of glass to inside face of glass.
    Included in the kit
    The Jumpguard Aquarium Cover is a kit of parts which allows the aquarist to create a custom frame for their specific aquarium. The rigid corners and extruded aluminium section create a very solid frame which sits neatly inside glass of the aquarium glass, resting on the top lip.

    • 4 x Aluminium frame sections
    • 4 x Plastic corners
    • 2 x Plastic handles
    • 1 x Length of rubber spline
    • 1 x Sheet of clear mesh
    • 1 x Spline roller tool
    • 1 x Instruction manual
    • 1 x Brace bar set (currently TC18075 model only)

      Jumpguard Accessory Sets

      We manufacture a range of accessories for the jumpguard frames to make them truly flexible for a wide range of aquariums.

      Flexi-cutout Set - TCFLEXICO
      The Jumpguard Flexi-cutout Set provides you with 2 standard corners and 2 reverse corners to allow you to modify the frame around any larger overflow boxes, light brackets, cables or pipework etc, that would not be covered by the Multi-Cutout Set. 

      Each kit contains

      • 1 pair of standard corners 
      • 1 pair of reverse corners

      Note:

      Cutting into the standard square frame, especially on larger frames, will generally reduce the rigidity and we would recommend installing one of one or more cross braces, as required, to retain the structural integrity.

      Brace Bar Set - TCBRACE
      For larger aquariums or whenever fitting a cutout set we recommend installation of one or more brace bars to retain the structural integrity of the frame and to stop the outer edges from pulling in together.

      Each kit includes:

      • 2 x 900mm x 12mm x 8mm brace bars
      • 2 x T piece connectors
      • 6 x connector clips

      Note:

      Brace bar extrusion and 6 clips are already supplied with the TC18990 kit as standard.
